Marina Krenz has extensive experience in software development and technical operations. Since 2019, they have been working at REN-ISAC, where they currently hold the position of Interim Director of Technical Operations. In this role, Marina is responsible for maintaining a robust production environment and driving continuous improvements in deployment efficiency and security protocols. Marina is proficient in MVC architecture, unit testing, CircleCI CI/CD, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and ALB, enabling their to lead seamless 3rd party integrations and facilitate effective software project management.
Prior to their current role, Marina worked as a Lead Security Software Engineer at REN-ISAC. Before joining REN-ISAC, Marina served as a Senior Program Analyst at Indiana University Bloomington from 2016 to 2019. Marina was entrusted with the development and maintenance of the Grid Operations Center for high throughput computing, contributing to the Open Science Grid (OSG).
Marina's career also includes their role as President / Chief Software Architect at Suso Technology Services, Inc from 2004 to 2016. In this position, they led end-to-end software development initiatives on both national and international scales, managing architecture, implementation, budgeting, and customer success. Prior to joining Suso Technology Services, Marina worked as an Application Programmer at Hirons & Company Communications, where they contributed to enterprise-level projects for notable clients.
Throughout their career, Marina has developed expertise in various programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies. Marina is dedicated to exploring new technologies and integrating innovative features to enhance offerings.
Marina Krenz completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2001 and a Master of Science degree in Management in IT from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business between 2020 and 2022. Additionally, they obtained certifications in GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA) from GIAC Certifications in January 2023 and GIAC Certified Web Application Defender (GWEB) in July 2021.
