S Ananthan is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India having more than two decades of professional standing. He is Senior Partner of Abarna and Ananthan, Chartered Accountants, Bangalore.

S Ananthan specializes in the field of Taxation and Banking Consultancy. He is currently handling Tax Matters – Income Tax and Service Tax – for various Nationalised and Private Sector Banks in the Country. He has also handled Statutory Audit for various banks and business groups.

He is also the leading subject matter expert on Service Tax in Banks. He was also a member of the IBA team that interacted with the Ministry of Finance on matters relating to Service tax concerning the Banking Industry.

He has presented many papers in Banking and Taxation subject and has co-authored a book on Taxation of Cooperative Bank.

Ananthan was the Director of a Bangalore Based PSU Bank.
