Dr. William F. Vendley is currently a Senior Advisor for Religion at The Fetzer Institute and serves as Secretary General Emeritus of Religions for Peace International, where they were Secretary General from 1994 to 2019. They coordinated projects across 90 national and 5 regional councils, advancing multi-religious cooperation for peace and development worldwide. Dr. Vendley has played a pivotal role in establishing multi-religious councils in conflict zones, including Bosnia and Sierra Leone, and has facilitated peace efforts in numerous countries affected by violence. They also taught theology as an Assistant and Adjunct Professor at Maryknoll School and served as Dean at Roman Catholic Major Seminary.
