Maria's career began as a Curriculum Specialist at the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation and as an elementary school teacher at Wiley International Magnet School. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University.
