Nikolaos Vasiloglou

Nikolaos Vasiloglou has a diverse work experience, spanning multiple organizations and roles. Nikolaos started their career in 2009 as a Machine Learning Lead at LogicBlox, where they expanded and maintained the machine learning engine.

In 2012, they became the Technical Chair for the MLconf workshops, where they played a crucial role in forming the agenda and theme of each workshop until 2017.

From 2015 to 2018, Nikolaos worked as a Technical Director at Symantec's Center for Advanced Machine Learning.

In 2016, they joined the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business as an Executive Education Faculty member until 2018.

In 2016, Nikolaos founded MLTrain, an organization that offers training for professionals and practitioners in Artificial Intelligence. They have provided training globally on various topics, including TensorFlow and probabilistic programming.

In 2017, they also served as a consultant for Skymind.ai, specializing in deep learning for the JVM.

In 2020, Nikolaos worked as the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Aisera, focusing on developing conversational AI systems for the service desk and customer support industry. Nikolaos Vasiloglou's education history is as follows. Nikolaos obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ethniko Metsovio Polytechnico, where they studied from 1994 to 2000. Following this, they pursued their Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, from 2001 to 2003. Later, they continued their academic journey at the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a focus on this field of study, from 2003 to 2009.
