Hector Perez has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2009, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they continued until 2014. During this time, they also served as an Advanced Process Control Engineer at Pacific Rubiales Energy from 2014 to 2015. From 2014 to 2018, they managed their own company, Perez Engineering Solutions, providing engineering solutions to various clients. Hector then served as an Adjunct Professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander from 2017 to 2018. Hector joined Dow as an ISC Innovation Intern in 2020 and 2021, where they developed simulation models and web applications. Hector continued their internship at Dow in 2022 and is currently working as an Operations Research Engineer at RelationalAI starting in 2023. Hector is also a Doctoral Student at Carnegie Mellon University from 2018, and they are expected to complete their studies in 2023.

Hector Perez obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2008 to 2014. Hector continued their education by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Process Systems Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
