Andrew Anighoro has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. From 2009 to 2011, they were a LLP-Erasmus Student at the University of Thessaly, where they worked in a human physiology laboratory and wrote a project on nutrition and cancer. In 2012, they were a Visiting PhD Student at Bonn University. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bonn University. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Scientist and Senior Scientist 1 at Evotec. Most recently, they are an Associate Director II Data Science and Chemoinformatician at Relation Therapeutics.

Andrew Anighoro has a diverse education history. From 2005 to 2008, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Agroindustrial Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Verona. From 2008 to 2010, they earned a Master's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. Finally, from 2011 to 2014, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sciences and Technologies for Health Products from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. Additionally, Andrew Anighoro has obtained a number of certifications from Coursera, including Reproducible Research (June 2018), Exploratory Data Analysis (November 2017), Getting and Cleaning Data (October 2017), Capstone: Retrieving, Processing, and Visualizing Data with Python (September 2017), Python for Everybody Specialization (September 2017), R Programming (September 2017), The Data Scientist’s Toolbox (September 2017), Using Databases with Python (September 2017), Using Python to Access Web Data (August 2017), Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) (August 2017), and Python Data Structures (August 2017).
