Pranab Mukherjee has extensive experience in the textile industry, having served as General Manager at Reid & Taylor India Limited from March 2008 to February 2017, and subsequently as ex GM (Spinning). Prior to this role, Pranab Mukherjee was President at Oswal Woollen Mills from November 2006 to March 2008. Pranab Mukherjee holds a B.Tech in Textile, specializing in Spinning, from the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology in Berhampore.
