James Hammond has held various positions in the marine industry throughout their career. james started their career as the Managing Director at Western Pacific Marine Ltd Hong Kong in 1990 and remained in this role until 2004. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at Starr Marine Agency Inc, initially as the AVP Loss Control Services. james then joined Regional Reporting Inc in 2010 as the VP Global Marine Operations. Overall, James Hammond has extensive experience in marine operations and management.

James Hammond attended Maine Maritime Academy from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science. Their studies focused on Navigation, Marine Cargo Operations, and Ship Handling.
