Romain Vidal has extensive experience in the field of innovation, research, and higher education, currently serving as Directing Deputy for Innovation Research and Higher Education at Région Île-de-France since August 2004. Vidal holds various leadership roles, including overseeing technology transfer services and enterprise networks. Prior expertise includes work as a Life Sciences Innovation & Research Project Manager, focusing on the financing of R&D projects in life sciences. Prior to joining Région Île-de-France, Vidal was a Scientific Researcher at APRIFEL, investigating the effects of polyphenols on lipid absorption. Academic credentials include a PhD in Physiology and Cellular Biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Montpellier.
