Tomislav Caval is a specialist in functional glycoproteomics with a focus on chemical biology, mass spectrometry, and biochemistry. Currently working at InterVenn Biosciences since December 2021, Tomislav is involved in developing comprehensive pipelines for mapping and functional characterization of N-glycosylation in cancer. Previous experience includes postdoctoral research at Stanford University in the lab of Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi, and at the University of Copenhagen's Copenhagen Center for Glycomics, where Tomislav developed mass spectrometry-based methods for mucin O-glycosylation. Tomislav's expertise also includes native mass spectrometry approaches for characterizing serum glycoproteins, as well as the characterization of glycosylated biotherapeutics during a tenure at Utrecht University. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Utrecht University and a Master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Rijeka.
