Alaa Elgaile is an accomplished advocate and trainer with over a decade of experience in promoting education and empowerment within the community. Currently serving as an Advocate Fellow at Refugees International since April 2023, Alaa previously held the position of Trainer of Trainers at St. Andrew's Refugee Services (StARS) from July 2018 to April 2023, focusing on developing future trainers. Alaa also has experience as a writer for Enigma Magazine, where attention was directed towards highlighting the achievements of teenagers. Alaa holds a Diploma in English Literature from Cairo University, earned between 2012 and 2015.
