Phil is currently the Lindahl Professor at the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota. He was formerly a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto (1993-2007).
Dr. Zelazo is a developmental cognitive neuroscientist and world-renowned investigator of the development and neural correlates of executive function in childhood and across the lifespan. He catalyzed the field of developmental research on EF with new measurement tools for children.He has received several accolades for his research, including “Canada’s Top 40 Under 40” award, and has authored or edited over 150 publications, including the two-volume Oxford Handbook of Developmental Psychology (2013). Dr. Zelazo was also the lead developer of the executive function measures for the NIH Toolbox for the Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function and the National Children’s Study.
