Linda Lowen is an experienced book reviewer at Publishers Weekly since January 2018 and a freelance author for Reedy Press, LLC since July 2021. Additionally, Lowen serves as a theater reviewer for syracuse.com and has been teaching creative non-fiction writing at the Downtown Writer's Center since January 2013. As the founder of Struck By Writing, Lowen organizes weeklong writing retreats in seaside locations, and also leads online writing instruction through Always Wanted to Write. Contributions include writing for The Writer Magazine and serving as a course instructor at Oasis Lifelong Learning. Previously, Lowen was a producer and co-host for the award-winning health and wellness radio program "Take Care" on WRVO Public Media and wrote the award-winning "Storytime" column for Syracuse New Times. An alumnus of institutions such as Cornell University and Syracuse University, Lowen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature.
