Joshua Howe

Associate Professor, History & Environmental Studies at Reed College

Joshua Howe currently serves as the Chair of the Environmental Studies Program and the History Department at Reed College, where Joshua has held various academic positions since August 2012, including Associate Professor and Visiting Assistant Professor of History and Environmental Studies. Prior to this, Joshua Howe worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Montana State University from August 2010 to May 2012 and was affiliated with Stanford University from 2004 to 2010 as the G.J. Lieberman Fellow in the Humanities, in addition to roles as a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant. Joshua Howe also contributed to the Stanford University Ski Team as Head Coach from 2005 to 2010. Educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in History from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and English (Creative Writing) from Middlebury College.
