Travis Bischel has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. Travis began their career as a Programming Intern at IBM in 2012, and then moved to a similar role at Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation and Affiliates in 2011. In 2013, they joined Fastly, where they held various roles, including Senior Systems Engineer, Tech Lead, Software Architect, Senior Software Architect, and Principal Software Architect. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Redpanda Data as a Software Engineer.

Travis Bischel earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2013, having started their studies in 2010.
