About the Role Redhorse transforms how the government uses data and technology. As a System Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and upgrading our client's systems across 8 geographically dispersed sites. You'll be the on-site lead for remote maintenance and annual in-person upgrades, ensuring seamless system integration and optimal performance. Your expertise will be vital in resolving data flow path issues, implementing software updates, and troubleshooting complex problems. This is a high-impact role directly contributing to Redhorse’s mission of delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to our government clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as site lead for remote maintenance and refresh efforts across 8 geographically dispersed sites.
• Travel to each site at least annually for in-person maintenance and upgrade activities.
• Maintain daily interaction with partner entities to ensure proper system integration and functionality.
• Engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed.
• Perform data validation post-software deployment.
• Submit Data Migration Reports (DMRs) for data flow path problems and fixes.
• Configure new software updates.
• Perform system troubleshooting.

Required Experience/Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; OR five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Seven (7) years’ experience as a systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience with NiFi and Linux.
• Experience in Linux and Ciena for system administration, troubleshooting, software loading, and configuration of telecom networks and software packages.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
