Shankar Bhargava is the Vice President of Engineering at WalmartLabs, leading a team focused on AI Assistants and Retail AI since 2019, aimed at transforming customer shopping experiences through advanced AI technologies and large-scale shopping data. Additionally, Shankar serves as a Limited Partner at Red Swan Ventures and Firsthand Alliance, while also engaging as an angel investor and advisor for various companies. Prior experience includes roles at Salesforce as a Software Engineer, where relevancy algorithms for search were developed, and as a Software Research Engineer at Amazon.com, contributing to the Kindle Bulk Ingestion team. Shankar's earlier roles encompassed a research assistantship at Arizona State University and senior software engineering at Huawei Technologies.
