Akbar (Alex) Shamsuddin currently serves as Regional Vice President and previously held the title of Director of Franchise Sales at Red Roof Inn since April 2016. Prior to their role at Red Roof Inn, Akbar was the Director of Franchise Development at Choice Hotels International from June 2013 to March 2016. Akbar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from California State University-Long Beach.
