The best of both worlds for scrap metal suppliers and end users 

In October , 2020 – ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada ("ArcelorMittal") and Triple M Metal ("Triple M"), two of the largest players in Canada's metal recycling industry, announced that they were joining forces to offer more choice and services to scrap metal consumers and suppliers. The two companies created a joint venture called Integrated Metal Recycling Inc. (“IMR”), which combine many of the recycling activities of the two partners in Quebec. 

With this new alliance, recyclers now have access to more outlets for their scrap metal. Whether to supply ArcelorMittal's steel mills, Triple M's aluminum customers or other users of recycled metals, IMR's scrap metal needs is constant and diversified. RMI combines four Legault Métal sites (Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec) and Metrobec sites located in Saint-Hubert (Longueuil), Quebec.

For recyclers, IMR is a one-stop shop for their scrap metal, which will make management easier for every parties.” "ArcelorMittal and Triple M have  each established a solid reputation in the recycling industry over time. By pooling their experiences and expertise, IMR offer the industry a strong alternative that provides choice, service and prices that meet expectations of our existing and future clients.” 

 IMR provide recyclers with increased opportunities to sell their scrap metal on an ongoing basis and build lasting business relationships with a trusted partner. IMR also continue to process and add value to ferrous & nonferrous metals as part of its many  service offering including: logistics management, collecting, sorting, cutting, baling, upgrading and shipping of all forms of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
