Antonin Kral has extensive work experience in various leadership and technical roles. Antonin is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at IP Fabric since September 2021. Before that, they founded nibbler.AI in 2019, where they provided engineering leadership for machine learning and high-scale distributed systems projects. Antonin also served as Founder/Advisor for Recombee from 2015 onwards, assisting with strategy and mediating between key people. Antonin was the Founder/CTO of Showmax from 2015 to 2019, overseeing the overall architecture and leading technical and human aspects. Prior to that, they were the CTO of icflix from 2013 to 2015, building the engineering team and designing a service-oriented architecture. Antonin also worked as the CEO of nangu.TV - Alnair a.s. from 2007 to 2013, defining company vision and strategy and designing a scalable platform for IPTV and VoD services. Antonin has research experience as well, working as a researcher and affiliate at Brookhaven National Laboratory from 2005 to 2011, contributing to the PHENIX experiment and proposing optimizations for data processing and management. Antonin also worked as a researcher, systems designer, and PhD student at CERN from 2004 to 2011, participating in the COMPASS experiment and designing a job submission system and improvements to the monitoring system. Antonin started their career as the CTO/Technical Director at ITonis Inc. from 2004 to 2008, where they helped develop one of the first platforms for storing and streaming live TV channels. Antonin was also a board member at the Ministry of Informatics from 2004 to 2007.
Antonin Kral's education history begins in 1993 when they attended SPÅ E Olomouc. There is no specific degree or field of study mentioned for this period. From 1997 to 2003, they pursued their MSc in computer science and networks at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.
