Shiva Rai holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. With extensive experience in the semiconductor and photonics industries, Shiva serves as Director of Technology for Compound Semiconductors and Photonics at Applied Materials since March 2019, while concurrently holding the position of Venture Fellow at Rebel One since May 2020. Previous roles include Product Development Manager at Bridgelux, Director of Epitaxy at a solar startup, and Sr. Key Account Technologist at Applied Materials. Shiva is also a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma and has contributed significantly to both academia and industry through various research and development positions.
