Don Hurd is an experienced professional with a strong background in quality assurance and validation services, currently serving as VP of Quality & Validation Services at The Realtime Group since March 2003. In this role, Don Hurd oversees quality aspects for electronic device design and development, particularly in regulated industries such as medical devices, and has successfully led the company to certification under ISO 13485:2003. Prior to this, Don Hurd worked at Alcatel from January 1995 to May 2002 as a Technical Lead, supporting software configuration management and development processes for telecommunications. Don Hurd began a career at Lockheed from 1982 to 1995, holding positions as a Team Lead and Manager, where responsibilities included supporting avionics software development and optimizing related tools and processes. Don Hurd holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, obtained between 1977 and 1981.
