Marcelo Fonseca is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in leading economic roles at prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as the Chief-Economist at REAG INVESTIMENTOS, Marcelo has held similar positions at Opportunity and M. Safra & Co. - Money Managers, and previously worked as an economist at Autonomy Capital and a Senior-economist at HSBC Bank Brasil S.A. Marcelo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from FGV EESP (2010-2014) and is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Engineering at FGV EESP, set to complete in August 2024.
