Liliana Michelena is a seasoned multimedia journalist and video producer with a diverse background in media and journalism. Currently serving as a Video Producer at Reading The Pictures since June 2019, Michelena produces and edits the bi-weekly commentary videocast "Chatting the Pictures" and collaborates on webinars and video events with media organizations. As a Freelance Journalist since September 2016, Michelena covers the intersection of sports, culture, and politics, while also contributing as a multilingual researcher and fact-checker. Previous roles include producing content for CalMatters and KQED, reporting for Mission Local, and internships at Miami Herald and The Associated Press, where Michelena focused on local and global sports issues and covered Brazil's political landscape. Michelena holds a Master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
