Merja Ranta-aho is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as a Founding Partner at Reaction since August 2020. Prior to this role, Merja held various senior positions at Elisa Corporation from January 2001 to January 2025, including Executive Vice President of HR, where responsibilities expanded to encompass leadership in HR practices, strategic planning, and talent management across the organization. Merja also contributed to the development of human resources and training programs in several managerial capacities. Additionally, Merja served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Varma in 2024 and has a strong academic background, holding a Licentiate in Technology focused on Work and Organization Psychology, along with Master's degrees in Psychology from the University of Helsinki. Merja's early career included research and teaching at Helsinki University of Technology, emphasizing Human Factors in Telecommunications and inclusive design.
