As the Computer Vision Engineer, Phillip develops new computer vision and machine learning algorithms that enhance RDI’s existing products. He has a background in circuit design at Intel, developing airborne reconnaissance systems at L-3 Communications, and designing radiation detection and scanning systems at American Science and Engineering, Inc. He developed the first dual-core desktop computer main board and was the lead engineer for an X-ray imaging system that detects corrosion for oil companies.
The company caught his attention with its mix of vibrational analysis, signal processing, and computer vision, and he is enthusiastic about working on machine learning, statistics, and image processing algorithms.
Phillip holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, both from Purdue University. He also completed a Certificate of Machine Learning from Cornell University and has a patent and publication in progress related to passive radiation detection systems.
