Sheila Valdivia has been working in health care for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Nursing Services. She first became a licensed Registered Nurse in her native country, Nicaragua, in 2001. Sheila has worked as a Registered Nurse in different countries, including Belize. Sheila moved to the United States in April 2010. While waiting to become licensed as a Registered Nurse in California, she volunteered at her daughter’s school and at Ravenswood. In September 2014, she started working for Ravenswood’s Women’s Health Department as a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program Worker. Her passion for nursing did not stop, and she was licensed as a Registered Nurse by the California Board of Registered Nursing in 2015. In 2017, Sheila went back to school and graduated from Western Governor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked in Ravenswood’s Women’s Health Department until she became Ravenswood’s Nurse Manager in 2018. Sheila is a member of the American Nurses Association and holds a certificate as a Public Health Nurse. Sheila finds great satisfaction in serving the community. She is an advocate for providing the best customer service and highest quality patient care possible.
