Katherine Leadbetter

Global Partnerships Manager, Experience AI at Raspberry Pi Foundation

Katherine Leadbetter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katherine currently works at the Raspberry Pi Foundation as the Code Club Community Manager (England) since September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the International Programme Coordinator for Code Club from August 2016 to September 2021.

Before joining the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Katherine worked at Future First as an Alumni Officer from August 2014 to August 2016. In this role, they managed the alumni networks of 40 state schools across London, Wales, and the South East. Katherine connected current students with alumni role models and facilitated connections between former students and their old schools. Katherine also designed and organized alumni careers workshops, assemblies, and mentoring partnerships. Katherine created bespoke alumni communications for each school and provided training to teachers on working with alumni volunteers.

Prior to their role at Future First, Katherine gained experience as an Architectural and Administrative Assistant at Martin Critchley, Chartered Architect from October 2013 to August 2014. Katherine also worked as a Primary Maths Consultant and Author for mangahigh.com at Blue Duck Education Ltd. from August 2013 to June 2014.

Additionally, Katherine worked as a Demonstrator at the University of London Observatory from September 2011 to September 2012 while studying at University College London. Katherine also briefly worked as a Microsoft Demonstrator at CPM UK Limited and as a Confirmation and Clearing Assistant at the University of Portsmouth in August 2011.

Katherine Leadbetter's education history includes pursuing an Msci degree in Astronomy at UCL from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Havant College from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their A levels. Katherine started their educational journey at Purbrook Park School, where they studied for their GCSEs from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Katherine has obtained several certifications. In November 2022, they became a certified Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England. In August 2021, they completed a certification in Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) from LinkedIn. Furthermore, in March 2021, they obtained a certification in Communicating Across Cultures, also from LinkedIn. Finally, they achieved an intermediate fluency level in French through the Duolingo language learning platform in March 2016.
