Karin Quissell currently serves as the Director of Research Development at Rare Beauty, a position held since April 2020. Previously, Karin was the Senior Principal Scientist at NYX Professional Makeup, where responsibilities included technical training and vendor management, as well as overseeing Open Development Chemists for makeup and skincare product launches. Karin's experience also encompasses roles as the R&D and New Product Development Manager at Nail Alliance, the QA and Technical Services Manager at Maesa, and a Group Leader at L'Oreal USA, where a broad range of cosmetic formulations across various markets were developed. Additional international experience was gained as an International Brands Liaison at L'Oreal China. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Art in Cosmetic Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
