Jillian Lane has a diverse background in talent acquisition and recruiting. Jillian started their career in 2013 as a Recruiter at Franklin Professional Associates. In 2015, they joined Boston University as a Talent Acquisition professional for a year. At Rapid7, they held multiple roles over the years, starting as a Talent Acquisition Partner in December 2015 and progressing to Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in January 2019. Later on, they became the Lead Talent Acquisition Partner in October 2019 and most recently, they are the Manager of Talent Acquisition which they began in January 2021.

Jillian Lane attended the University of Rhode Island in 2008 but did not complete a degree or specify a field of study. From 2008 to 2012, they studied Communication and Media Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
