Luke Messinger currently serves as CEO of RAPID 5, focusing on connecting people with nature and fostering community relationships. Previously, Luke held the position of Executive Director at The Dawes Arboretum from 2000 to 2024, overseeing vision, strategies, and operations for the nearly 2,000-acre public garden dedicated to plant conservation, research, and education. Additionally, Luke has contributed to various organizations including serving on the Development Advisory Committee for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District and participating on the Parks Board for the City of Gahanna. Luke also served on the Board of Governors for Secrest Arboretum and was a Board Member of the American Public Gardens Association. Luke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture and Journalism from The Ohio State University between 1981 and 1985.
