Collin MacGregor

Head of Systems Engineering at Range Energy

Collin MacGregor has extensive work experience in the field of systems engineering. Collin is currently serving as the Head of Systems Engineering at Range Energy since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Zoox where they held various roles, including Staff Systems Engineer from March 2022 to January 2023, Senior Systems Engineer from March 2020 to March 2022, and Systems Engineer from December 2015 to March 2020. Collin also worked as a Systems Engineer 2 at Meggitt Safety Systems from July 2013 to December 2015. Before entering the field of systems engineering, Collin worked as a Sales Engineer at Dozuki from May 2011 to July 2013. Collin started their career at iFixit, where they held roles as Product Outreach from June 2011 to June 2012 and Search Engine Optimization & Community Outreach from May 2010 to May 2011. Collin also has experience outside the engineering field, having worked as a Community Advisor at University Housing - Cal Poly from August 2009 to June 2010. Collin started gaining work experience as a Student Assistant in the Farming Operations Department at Cal Poly State University in June 2009. Before that, Collin worked as an Apprentice Applicator at Barrier Pest Control from May 2008 to September 2008. Throughout their career, Collin has demonstrated their skills in systems engineering, sales, customer service, and community outreach.

Collin MacGregor completed their high school education at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas from 2004 to 2008. Collin then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, graduating in 2012. Collin furthered their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering in 2013. Collin also obtained additional certifications, including the MIT xPRO - Technology and Innovation Acceleration Program from Emeritus in June 2022, and the UL Certified Functional Safety Professional in ISO-26262:2018 Automotive Functional Safety (General) from UL Solutions in February 2022.
