Panagiotis Agioutantis, PhD(c)

Bioinformatics Scientist at Rancho BioSciences

Panagiotis Agioutantis has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and research. Panagiotis is currently working as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Rancho BioSciences since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Researcher PhD Student at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2016 to 2022, where they focused on the identification of natural inhibitors of human hepatocellular carcinomas using a systems biology approach. Panagiotis also worked as a Researcher PhD Student and Teaching Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens from 2015 to 2020, where they conducted research and assisted in teaching. Additionally, they gained experience as a Postgraduate Student at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens in 2014 and completed an internship at Public Power Corporation S.A. in 2011.

Panagiotis Agioutantis, PhD(c), has an extensive education history in the field of science and engineering. Panagiotis began their educational journey in 2007 at the National Technical University of Athens, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic pursuits at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering in 2014.

In 2014, Panagiotis Agioutantis expanded their knowledge in the field of biomedical sciences by enrolling in the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. Panagiotis pursued a Master's of Science degree in Molecular Medicine, which they successfully completed in 2017. This provided him with a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between molecular biology and human health.

Driven by their passion for research and a desire to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, Panagiotis Agioutantis furthered their academic journey at the National Technical University of Athens. In 2015, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Computational Biology. With an anticipated completion date of 2023, they are currently in the final stages of completing their doctoral studies.

Through their educational experiences, Panagiotis Agioutantis has acquired a strong foundation in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Medicine, and Computational Biology. Their multifaceted educational background equips him with a diverse skill set and a holistic approach to problem-solving in these fields.
