Yue Yu has a strong background in engineering, with experience in various roles at different companies. They currently hold the position of Vice President of Engineering at Rambus since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Renesas Electronics, where they held the positions of Senior Director from April 2022 to November 2022, and Director from January 2020 to March 2022. Before joining Renesas Electronics, Yue Yu worked at IDT - Integrated Device Technology, Inc., which was later acquired by Renesas. They held multiple roles at IDT, including Director from May 2019 to December 2019, Principal Design Engineer from May 2016 to April 2019, Staff Design Engineer from May 2015 to April 2016, Senior Design Engineer from May 2009 to April 2015, and Design Engineer from March 2007 to April 2009.

Yue Yu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2006.
