Aldo Vargas, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Engineering Manager at RailVision Analytics, focusing on enhancing train system technologies and integrating advanced analytics tools for improved rail operations. With extensive experience in the unmanned systems industry as the Founder of AltaX Consulting, Aldo has also held significant roles at Nexus Robotics as Director of Software Engineering and at C2RO as Principal Engineer, contributing to increased robot autonomy and collaboration. Academic involvement includes a Research Associate position at the University of Oxford and teaching roles at the University of Glasgow. Aldo's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, along with exchange studies at prestigious institutions.
