Sipho Maphumulo

Sipho Maphumulo has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sipho started their career as a Security Officer at Lodge Security and Investigations in 1984. In 1989, they became a Field Worker and KZN Chairperson at Young Christian Workers (YCW). Sipho then worked as a Coordinator at the Chemical Workers Industrial Worker Union from 1990 to 1993. From 1993 to 2001, they served as a Coordinator at the National Union of Metal Workers of South Africa. In 2001, they became the General Manager of Human Resources at Leitch Landscapes. Sipho joined the Road Accident Fund in 2003, initially as a Senior HR Officer (Assistant Manager) and later as the Manager of Employee Relations until 2010. In 2011, they became the Regional Human Resources Manager at the Road Accident Fund and RAF Technology.

Sipho Maphumulo's education history begins in 1993 when they obtained a National Certificate in Industrial Relations from the University of Johannesburg. From 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the Durban University of Technology. During the same period, they also completed a Specialist HR Programme Diploma from the same institution.

In 2005 to 2006, Sipho pursued a B Com Honours in Employment Relations and Labour Law from the University of Johannesburg. Sipho furthered their studies at the same university from 2008 to 2010 and earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Labour Law & Employment Relations, with an outstanding dissertation.

In 2015, Sipho enrolled in the Executive Management Development program at the USB (University of Stellenbosch Business School), focusing on Business Administration and Management. Sipho completed the program in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Sipho has obtained a certification in Mediation and CCMA Handling, although the details of the institution, month, and year of acquisition are not provided.
