Italo Lopes Maia is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in piping and layout disciplines across various companies. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer for Piping & Layout at Equinor, overseeing the Raia FPSO project, Italo has held senior engineering roles at Radix Engenharia e Software and other notable firms. Responsibilities have included piping system designs, construction execution planning, and subsea operations management. A strong foundation in mechanical engineering was established at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, complemented by expertise in areas such as risk-based inspection (RBI), installation analyses, and stress analysis.
