João Veloso is a Portuguese physicist and entrepreneur who is currently the co-founder of Radiation Imaging Technologies. João was previously the co-founder of NU-RISE, a company that developed a new device for in-vivo and real-time dosimetry of brachytherapy cancer treatments. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD student at the Portuguese Research Foundation – FCT, where they researched high-resolution gamma cameras. João has also worked as a post-doc researcher at Universidade de Aveiro, where they researched different concepts of small dimension PET scanners. João has also worked as a research assistant and student trainee at Siemens Healthcare (Portugal).
João Veloso has a PhD in Engineering Physics from Universidade de Aveiro and a MSc in Biomedical Engineering with specialization in Image and Radiation from Universidade de Coimbra. João also has a certification from University of Cambridge in Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
