Christopher Smith has worked in a variety of roles in the solar and carpentry industries since 2004. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Carpenter for Smith Carpentry. Christopher then became a Lead Photovoltaic Technician for FES Solar from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they served as a Senior Photovoltaic Technician/Project Manager for A1 Sun, Inc. During this time they also worked as a Photovoltaic Technician for Enphase Energy and a Photovoltaic Operations & Maintenance Technician for Next Phase Solar. Since 2017, they have been employed as a Technical Asset Manager and Photovoltaic Operations & Maintenance Technician for Radian Generation.

Christopher Smith attended the University of New Hampshire - Thompson School of Applied Science from 2008 to 2009, where they studied Construction Management/Architectural Design, 2009. Christopher then attended the University of New Hampshire - Manchester from 2007 to 2008, where they studied Sociology. From 2004 to 2007, they attended Rivier College in Nashua, NH, where they also studied Sociology. Additionally, Christopher holds a C-46 certification from California.
