Laura Jacobsen, currently serving as Interim Dean of the Libraries at Radford University since 2005, has significantly contributed to various academic and administrative roles within the institution. Major accomplishments include expanding library events from 70 to 216 and establishing the Highlander Den for student engagement. As a Professor in Mathematics Education, Laura Jacobsen led the development of a master's program and contributed to the Quality Enhancement Plan. Previous positions include Interim Director of Career and Talent Development, where a text messaging platform was implemented for outreach, and Interim Administrator of Student Success Offices, focusing on tutoring and retention initiatives. Laura Jacobsen also served as Associate Dean and Interim Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research, where recruitment strategies led to a 15.9% increase in enrollments.
