Hossein D. Banadaki is a PhD Fellow at Radboudumc since September 2024, with prior experience as a Master Thesis Student at Università degli Studi di Torino from October 2021 to March 2024. During a thesis research internship at Tigem from January to October 2023, research focused on the treatment landscape of inherited retinal dystrophy (IRD) and the development of gene therapy vectors. Banadaki also explored the effectiveness of transplanted brain tissue for Huntington's disease at the Neuroscience Institute Cavalieri Ottolenghi between December 2021 and January 2023, utilizing in vivo calcium recordings. Previous experience includes identifying genetic links to inherited retinal dystrophy as a BSc Thesis Research Assistant at the Ophthalmic Research Center and founding the Stem Cell Association at Shahed University. Education includes a Master’s degree in Biotechnology for Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology.
