Martijn Vliegenthart is a seasoned professional in government affairs and international relations, currently serving as the Head of Government Affairs for Europe at Klarna since August 2021. In addition, Martijn holds the position of President and previously served as Vice President at the European FinTech Association since February 2022. Prior to these roles, Martijn was an Executive Director in Government Affairs EMEA at Goldman Sachs from March 2016 to August 2021. Experience also includes serving as the Director of European & International Affairs at the Nederlandse Vereniging van Banken from January 2011 to February 2016 and as a Policy Advisor at the European Parliament and Regio Randstad Brussels. Martijn Vliegenthart holds a Master's degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and attended INSEAD from 2015 to 2016.
