Lars Heemstra is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the banking and consulting sectors. Currently serving as the Global Head Markets COO at Rabobank since January 2019, Lars oversees a wide range of functions including digitization, regulatory change projects, and business management. Prior to this, Lars was the Program Manager for a Global Regulatory Program at Heemstra Advies from August 2012 to January 2019, focusing on the implementation of financial markets regulations. Lars also held leadership roles at Capco, including Country Lead for the Capital Markets domain, and worked as a Managing Consultant at Capgemini on international merchant banking projects. Lars's earlier experience includes positions as an Investment Advisor at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and a Market Maker at the Amsterdam Option Exchange. Lars holds a Drs. degree in Business Economics from the University of Groningen.
