Bas Scholten is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in risk management and advisory roles across prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as Executive Director and Head of Balancesheet Management IRBB&FX Strategy at Rabobank, Bas leads a strategy team responsible for managing interest rate and currency risks. Prior to this role, Bas was Head of Balancesheet Management Advice at Achmea Investment Management, advising institutional clients on various financial risks. Bas has also held positions at De Nederlandsche Bank as a Banking Supervisor, ABN AMRO Bank as a Senior Proprietary Trader, and ING in various risk management roles. Academically, Bas holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Groningen and has achieved the Financial Risk Manager designation from GARP, alongside additional studies in econometrics.
