Gina Thames is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in clinical documentation improvement and nursing education. Currently serving as a Clinical Documentation Improvement specialist at Medovent Solutions since August 2022, Gina previously held roles at Nuance Communications, where responsibilities included managing interim staffing for the CDI line and implementing strategies to enhance clinical documentation. With a strong academic background from the University of Maryland and The University of Texas at Arlington, Gina has also contributed as Clinical Faculty and Lead Teacher, focusing on pharmacology and nursing fundamentals, while holding various roles as an acute care nurse practitioner and nurse educator.
