Rao N. Marthi, P. Eng., R.P.P. has a diverse work experience in the field of transportation planning and project management. Starting in 1992, they worked as a Transportation Planner and Managing Partner at Transport Planners Associates until 1999. During this time, they gained experience in transportation planning and management. From 1999 to 2005, Rao worked as a Director at TPA Engineering Consultancy (I) Pvt. Ltd, where they were involved in all phases of project development, execution, scheduling, and budget control. Rao N. focused on developing transportation systems in metropolitan cities in India and provided strategic planning to complete projects on time. In 2007, Rao joined AECOM as a Transportation Planner, where they stayed until 2010. Rao N. then moved to Morrison Hershfield as a Senior Transportation Planner until 2012, where they were responsible for outlining methodologies, running transportation models, and preparing technical reports. After that, Rao worked at GENIVAR as a Senior Transportation Planner until 2014, and at Cole Engineering Group as a Project Manager until 2020. At IBI Group, they worked as a Project Manager from 2020 until 2023. Currently, Rao is employed as a Senior Project Manager at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited.

Rao N. Marthi, P. Eng., R.P.P. has a strong education background in the field of transportation planning and civil engineering. Rao N. completed their Master's degree in Transportation Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from SVH College of Engineering between 1985 and 1989. In addition to their educational achievements, Rao N. Marthi has also obtained certifications as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) from the Professional Engineers Ontario, and as a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
