Trung Than has been in the software engineering field since 2013. Trung began their career as a University Tutor at the University of Wollongong in 2013, followed by an Investment Software Engineer role at WorldQuant in 2014. Trung then moved to Miyatsu Co., Ltd in 2016 as a Software Engineer and has been in the same role at Qwilr since 2019.

Trung Than obtained their High School degree from Hanoi-Amsterdam high school (High school for the gifted) from 1999 to 2002. Trung then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Hanoi University of Technology and Science (Dai hoc Bach Khoa Ha Noi) from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from University of Wollongong from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from University of Wollongong from 2011 to 2014.
