Jared T Ramsburg has extensive experience in the field of UX research. Jared T began their career in 2008 as a Research Assistant at California State University, Northridge, where they conducted experiments on emotional intelligence and contributed to future research plans. Following this, they worked as a Teaching Assistant, Experimental Psychology Researcher, and Sports Psychology Researcher at the same university.
In 2011, Ramsburg joined Carnegie Mellon University as a Summer Research Intern, where they analyzed fMRI data and organized qualitative and quantitative data. During the same year, they also joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and later as a Cognitive Research Scientist. In the latter role, they contributed to course materials on cognitive processes and memory functioning, presented lectures, and graded papers.
Ramsburg then worked as an independent UX Consultant, providing services to various organizations. Jared T created personas, surveys, and prototypes, conducted user testing, and offered recommendations for improving user experience for websites, mobile interactions, and onsite interactions.
In 2016, Ramsburg joined Fly Fleet LLC as a UX Researcher before transitioning to Facebook as a UX Researcher in 2016. At Facebook, they conducted research on user experience. In 2018, they joined Google as a UX Researcher and continued to contribute to user research until 2020.
Currently, Ramsburg is employed at Quora, where they started as a Senior UX Researcher in 2020 and subsequently took on the role of Staff UX Researcher in October 2022.
Jared T Ramsburg pursued their education in the field of psychology, completing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge from 2006 to 2009. Jared T furthered their studies by obtaining a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from the same university, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Subsequently, Jared enrolled at the University of Illinois Chicago and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Psychology from 2011 to 2016. During their doctoral program, they also specialized in a minor field called Human Performance & Computer Interaction.
