Katrina Hooper is an AI Research Scientist at Quincus, leading the development of innovative proof-of-concept algorithms and minimum viable products focused on complex route optimization and consolidation using machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning techniques. Previous experience includes serving as a Data Scientist at the Computational Public Safety Lab, where Katrina redesigned the website to integrate an SQL database for improved access to publications, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, where course instruction covered various computer science topics. Additional roles have included administrative responsibilities at Endeavour Sports Performance and Rehabilitation, a Teaching Assistant position at the Engineering Outreach Office, and a Student Technologist role at the University of Toronto. Katrina holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Toronto Metropolitan University and an Honors Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
